Wiltshire and Swindon Care Skills Partnership
About Us

Wiltshire and Swindon Care Skills Partnership benefits from multi-agency /organisational collaborations.  It is combined with representatives who volunteer their time from various social care organisations - additionally supported by Wiltshire Council, Swindon Borough Council and Skills for Care.

This partnership is an employer partnership - employers from each sector have a place in the partnership and assist with supporting key initiatives and other supportive opportunities with workforce development. None employer members are supportive but do not take part in decisions that affect the sector, this is part of the terms of reference the partnership holds.

A lead member of each organisation or association represents the Voluntary, Independent and Private Sector in both Adult and Children’s Social Care Services.

We come together six times per year to review and support current activities around addressing ways developing the workforce in Wiltshire and Swindon using grants and funding from local government, Skills for Care and, at times, available funding from the European Social Fund via the Learning Skills Council (LSC).

The Lead Partner is the Independent, Voluntary and Private Sector Development Manager, Wallace Regelous (Mrs) - Wallace is your first port of call for any of your queries relating to any learning and development, grants or other funding supported by the Partnership.

Wallace came into post 20th August 2007 on a secondment, which has again been extended, until the end of March 2010.

We are fortunate to have admin within our partnership. Our admin assistant Suzie Murdoch is available during our normal office hours.

The Partnership is currently located in Trowbridge, being hosted by Wiltshire Council.
