Train to Gain (TtG) is a Government initiative to support businesses with help and advice AT ONE SINGLE POINT OF ACCESS - They will shortly become part of Business Link.

‘Train to Gain is the national skills Service that support employers of all sizes and in all sectors like you to improve the skills of your employees as a route to improving your business performance. The Service offers skills advice on everything from Investors in People, basic skills through to leadership and management training

They are currently able to offer support with many aspects of your organisation. It is impartial, independent and provides you with a ‘Business Broker’ who will help you work out what skills your business has and would benefit from in the Future.

How does the business broker support work specifically?
Your business broker will arrange to visit your office at a time that suits you. They will:

  • · identify the skills that will boost your business
    Your business broker works with you to identify skills that will make a real difference to your business – now and into the future.
  • · create a tailored package of training
    Your business broker identifies the training and other skills strategies that will drive your business forward, and the employees who will benefit most.
  • · find reliable local training providers
    Your business broker identifies reliable training providers. If appropriate, they’ll source local providers who can work on site, minimising disruption to your business.
  • · find funding to complement your investment
    There’s a lot of support available to help finance your training or offer additional advice. If you’re eligible for partial or full funding or subsidies, your independent business broker will help you access the support.
  • · evaluate the training to ensure real results
    You want the best value for money from your investment. Your business broker evaluates your training programme, making sure it has a real impact on your business success.    .’ Business Link 2009
